Fika Chair 

 

This project took inspiration from one of the most Swedish situations, to have a Fika. After I discovered the meaning of this practice, I tried to develop a perfect armchair to have a Fika. The result is a seat made of oak plywood that can rock on a steel frame, giving the possibility to any customers to change the position of their seats as well as they want.

 

The wood seat is linked to the metal frame with two elastic bands, that allow getting different inclinations. When none is sitting there, they bring back the chair to the original position. This project is a deep experiment in order to try to solve the problem that different customers need different positions.
